New Writing North Young Writers is our young writers programme. We run writing groups, projects and numerous publications. We aim to ensure all of our activities are free and accessible to all.
Story
New Writing North Young Writers is our young writers' programme. We run a huge variety of programmes for young people aged 12-25.
The aim of all our work is to support young writers to realise their potential. We want to both develop skills and nurture talent, and also encourage those young people who don't think of themselves as writers to get involved and have a go. We want to create environments where young writers can make friends, develop their confidence, try out new things (songwriting, drama, zine-making etc.) and have fun.
Our programme is free and accessible to all. To keep things this way, we rely on funding and donations. We always want to do more. Anything you can give will enable us to help young people to make brilliant work.
