The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileMy Life Films is a charity that makes free, biographical films for people with dementia. We celebrate their personality and achievements, taking the focus away from their illness. The films use still images and video from family archives, interviews with close family and friends, and favourite music tracks. The film package we offer is free of charge.
We build on established music therapy and reminiscence techniques, tying them together in a digital format that can be used repeatedly. Following on from the extremely positive testimonials we have received, South West London and St. George's NHS Trust are conducting a clinical trial assessing the impact of our films on wellbeing and use of medication.
Thanks to the success of our work so far, we have a growing waiting list of families who would like a film package made. With your help, we will be able to make a film for many of the people currently on our waiting list.
