Story
Brighton & Hove City Council works with St Mungo’s Broadway to offer an outreach service that supports people who are rough sleeping to move away from the streets for good.
Rough sleeping is harmful, dangerous to people’s health and potentially life-threatening.
The outreach team helps both new rough sleepers and those with a history of sleeping rough with their individual problems. This could be help with emergency accommodation, health issues, or getting connected with other services or with their family again.
If you want to help, you can do so by making a donation to St Mungo's Broadway,
Donations will go towards:
Rent Deposit Scheme to help move people from thestreets into accommodation
Start-up funding for a sit up bed service tobring people off the streets and assess their needs.
If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough:
- Contact the national phone line StreetLink via their website, app or 24/7 phone 0300 500 0914 to connect people with local services.
