Story
The spread of Covid, the economic effects of lockdown, and now serious flooding in the Helambu valley in 2021 are affecting all our communities but we are determined to keep up our support for improving education in Nepal. In 2022 we are seeking funding to train a new cohort of primary teachers for understaffed primary schools to ensure children receive good quality education in their early years. We are also aiming to provide scholarships to 50 recent school leavers so they can continue with their studies to A'level and so improve their life chances and ability to give back to their communities. We are also aiming to improve facilities across Helambu schools providing desks, books and early years toys and teaching aids particularly supporting schools that have been damaged during the recent flooding.
