Story
The Y Bwthyn Macmillan Specialist Care Unit will provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for people needing inpatient, outpatient and day palliative care and their loved ones.
Macmillan’s investing £5m to build this unit – our biggest build in Wales - and we need your support.
As part of its long-standing support for Macmillan services across the UK, the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) has generously donated £2.5m towards the unit. To date, NGS have donated almost £17 million to Macmillan to support people living with cancer, these funds have been raised by NGS opening over 3,800 beautiful, private gardens for charity across the UK.
There’s a small chance we’ll raise more than we need for this project. If this happens, or in the very unlikely event that the project does not proceed, your gift will be used to provide much needed help and support to people affected by cancer in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Bydd Uned Gofal Arbenigol Macmillan y Bwthyn yn cynnig amgylchedd croesawgar a chysurus i bobl sydd angen gofal lliniarol fel cleifion mewnol, cleifion allanol neu gleifion dydd, ac i’w hanwyliaid.
Mae Macmillan yn buddsoddi £5 miliwn i adeiladu’r uned hon – ein prosiect adeiladu mwyaf yng Nghymru – ac mae arnom angen eich cefnogaeth.
Yn rhan o’u cefnogaeth hirsefydlog i wasanaethau Macmillan ledled y DU, mae’r Cynllun Gerddi Cenedlaethol (NGS) wedi rhoi cyfraniad hael o £2.5 miliwn tuag at yr uned. Hyd yma, mae’r Cynllun Gerddi Cenedlaethol wedi cyfrannu bron i £17 miliwn i Macmillan er mwyn cynorthwyo pobl sy’n byw gyda chanser, a’r arian hwn wedi’i godi wrth i’r Cynllun agor dros 3,800 o erddi preifat hardd at ddibenion elusennol ledled y DU.
Ceir posibilrwydd bach iawn y codwn fwy o arian nag y bydd arnom ei angen ar gyfer y prosiect hwn. Os digwydd hyn, neu os na fydd y prosiect yn mynd yn ei flaen, er mor annhebygol yw hynny, defnyddir eich rhodd i roi cymorth a chefnogaeth y mae taer eu hangen ar bobl y mae canser yn effeithio arnynt yn Rhondda Cynon Taf.
