World Coracle Championships 2016
Organised by Macmillan Cancer SupportThe Macmillan World Championship Coracle Race, sponsored by JT Hughes, returns to the River Severn in Shrewsbury on the afternoon of Friday 15th September 2017.
Story
Teams of four paddle a traditional coracle boat in a relay race across the river, with the winners being crowned world champions! The current world champions are the Buckshot Bandits from Macmillan Masonry in Bishop’s Castle, so why not sign up and have a go?
As well as being great fun, the aim of the event is to raise money for the vital services provided by Macmillan Cancer Support, and in 2016 we raised in excess of £35,000.
