Story
Our Nomad project, part of YMCA Lincolnshire, currently provides welfare services in the City of Lincoln for those who are homeless and in need of emergency overnight accommodation between the hours of 8.30pm and 8.00am each day. Nomad upholds the worth and dignity of all individuals and asserts that everyone should have the basic essentials of life, not least companionship. After a long period of consultation a vision for a new specialist facility was created, providing support 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Creating individual en-suite bedrooms, with your funds we have moved away from our current dormitory style accommodation to provide dignity, privacy and a place to recover and rest. In addition, specialist wraparound support is now available 24 hours a day to meet the individual needs of people who arrive at our door needing help, understanding and advice. Thank you to all that donated including Homes England, those of you who sponsored rooms and gave individual donations. More information on YMCA Lincolnshire and the Nomad project can be found here
