Vicki’s story

In 2014, aged 33 years old I suffered my sixth heart attack and had to be rushed to LHCH for treatment.

Due to complications, including developing pneumonia, I spent two months in the Intensive Care Unit before having the quadruple bypass I desperately needed to be well again.

During this time my family were warned that I mightn’t make it through but I survived due to the devoted care of the fantastic medical team.I met some very sick people during my stay and I discovered that heart and lung disease isn’t about smokers or the elderly – I was just 33 and I met teenagers suffering from Cystic Fibrosis, severe Asthma or living with congenital heart disease.I am trying to raise as much money as I can to help and every penny you give will go such a long way and is so appreciated.So let’s put a stop to premature death by raising some much needed funds for such a fantastic place.
