Story
University Hospitals of Leicester is a Centre of Excellence for children’s research and nationally we have made great strides in improving children’s health outcomes through research. However, we know there are still more questions to answer and more children waiting to benefit. This facility will give us the opportunity to address both.
But because our children deserve the best possible care Reaching Out for Kids Research will take this a step further. It will enable us to provide children with an environment that is welcoming and bright, with play support and where children will be helped through difficult treatments with sensory distraction techniques.
Also University Hospitals of Leicester are part of the 100,000 Genomes National Project. Reaching out for Kids Research will transform the way our patients taking part are cared for.
