Your life is turned upside down and you are faced with information you don’t always understand, forms to fill in that seem impossible after days without sleep. We were able to get help and advice from Kindred, which meant we could spend more time at our son’s bedside, be less stressed..... Kindred is a lifeline for families of children with complex needs. We give expert information, guidance and advocacy to help parents’ voices be heard. We offer emotional support and comfort in what is often a family’s darkest hours.
The difference your money can make:
- £5 will pay for a Helpline worker to answer an initial enquiry and assess a family's most urgent needs
- £25 will pay for a therapeutic massage session to calm a child while they are in hospital
- £250 covers room hire and refreshments, travel costs and child care for a Parents' Support Group
- £600 provides 1 week of a hospital-based Information and Advocacy Worker.
