Created in 2014, the Little Black Dress Initiative ("LBDI") is a fundraising campaign where participants wear one black dress/outfit for 5 days while raising funds to fight against poverty.

Visit the charity's profileLDBI is a week long, social- media driven advocacy campaign that uses the iconic "Little Black Dress" to raise awareness about poverty. Participants wear the same black dress/outfit for 5 consecutive days to illustrate the effects poverty can have on a woman's access to resources, her confident and professional opportunities. To date, the LDBI has raised over £80,000.
WHERE THE DRESS?Since its inception here in London, the LBDI has expanded to over 40 Junior Leagues across the United States and Canada. This global poverty initiative has not only raised poverty awareness in communities near and far but has also raised thousands of fund for partners that rely on Junior League support. It is a testament to our mission of women improving communities through volunteerism.
