The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileIt is 700 years old, 150-feet high and one of Hull’s most iconic landmarks. Supporters of Hull Minster are taking the unique opportunity to abseil down through our medieval tower in aid of our transformation project.
Hull Minster is undergoing an amazing transformation, to create a space for everybody: a cultural, artistic and performance venue, a historical visitor destination, and place where people in need find help.
Hull's outstanding medieval church will have a modern role as a place for everybody.
And you'll help transform Hull's most amazing space, for the entire community.
Abseilers will begin their adventure by climbing the winding and narrow staircase, through the bell ringing chamber, to the clock chamber where they will descend 80ft through both chambers and the nave. It is a unique and special way to see the magnificent medieval architecture, stunning stained glass windows and the beauty of one of Hull’s most amazing buildings. The money raised will help preserve Hull Minster for generations to come.
