Story
In Northern Ireland, any one time there are around 3,000 children and young people in care, and 170 new foster carers need to be found every year.
Home for Good is a charity with a vision of a home for every child who needs one. We recruit and support foster carers and adoptive parents, to make sure children with experience of care find a placement where they can thrive.
This year, people are running the Belfast Marathon to help children in care across Northern Ireland. Money raised will raise the profile of children in care in churches, establish links with Health Trusts, set up support groups for parents and carers, and run training sessions for children's and youth workers.
And for every £25 raised, we will give a Madlug bag to a child in care! Read about how Madlug bags help children in care live with value, worth and dignity here.
