Story

Previously described by supporters as being “Inspiring”, “Cathartic” and quite simply “Awesome”, the Big Battlefield Bike Ride offers an exclusive opportunity to be a part of the Help for Heroes family.

Starting in Lille, France, we roughly follow the 1944 route of the allied forces through the Low Countries towards Arnhem. Throughout, we will hear from our team of expert battlefield historians who will bring World War Europe to life, while having daily opportunities to reflect and pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Culminating in Arnhem – the focus point of Operation Market Garden – the BBBR family will jointly witness the annual commemoration of the parachute jump which has come to epitomise this period of military history.
