Quotes from our riders
Gillian Harrow: And the job is done #ridelondon 100 beautiful wet and windy miles. Thank you to all my friends and family who have pledged support to GFC and there are more coming in 🙏 Gillian goes on to add:- The dearest member of staff at work just gave me a £50 donation. Roy, what a wonderful, compassionate man you are. Thank you!
Alan Ball: So glad to get that one in the bag! I took a good beating from the relentless rain & wind but what a day to remember. A big thank you to all that pledged their support for GFC. I’d also like to say thanks for GFC for inviting me to take part in Ride London. As well as giving me the opportunity to support a great cause, it’s been a great challenge and journey to achieve the 100 mile goal. Also a big well done to Gillian for completing the course and all her fund raising efforts. What a star!
Robert Mora: I am fantastic if a little sore. I just wanted to thank you for letting me ride in your team the experience was absolutely amazing and I’m so glad I got to take part, I’d do it again in a heartbeat, it was just honestly amazing! ... and as I came around that final corner and sprinted down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace for everything I was worth I thought to myself, this has been absolutely fantastic, start to finish, just brilliant, even with the weather. I don’t remember the last time I felt such pride and accomplishment with myself.
Sophie Clarke: The ride was incredible and such an amazing experience - thank you for letting me be part of it!
Damien Brown: I had a great race despite at 4am start, awful weather a broken derailleur at mile 10 and a snapped gear cable at mile 75 leaving me with just two gears to complete the ride. (The mechanics at the hubs were amazing)
Simone Klein: I am alive and well. It was a tough day out but I enjoyed the challenge in the end and feel exhilarated to have done it.
