Take on the challenge and raise money for women in Africa.
Take on the challenge and raise money for women in Africa, like Fardowsa (see video) who has no income at all, who is forced to live on handouts from neighbours for both food and rent. Some days there is food and in other days she and her children face hunger.
Many women in Africa earn less than 40p a day and in many cases this is only through begging, odd jobs and even prostitution. Forgotten Women wants to give women the opportunity to run their own business where they can earn anything up to £60–£80 a month, resulting in provisions for their families and not having to resort to means where they feel degraded and exploited. Women spend 90% of their income on their families, investing in them is the quickest and surest way to break the cycle of poverty.
Are You Ready for A Challenge?
Your challenge is to help women like Fardowsa escape the poverty trap for good. Just £300 can set a woman up with a small retail business which will instantly give her an income and help her become self-sufficient.
You can do this as an individual, couple or a team. Our target is to help 200 women this year. How many women will you help remove from the poverty trap with this challenge?
- As an individual raise £300 towards the challenge.
- As a team how many women can you help?
