Story

Come and cycle the 100km from Barnstaple to Exmouth - along the Tarka Trail and the Exe Estuary - including a stop for lunch at Nethercott House, Farms For City Children's Devon farm, and former home of charity founder, Michael Morpurgo OBE.

Donate a mininum of £35, and we will keep you updated with all the arrangements. If you would prefer not to hear from the charity, please pay anonymously and contact Andy Healey with your payment reference number at a.healey@elsevier.com.

Once you've signed up, we ask that you raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship - that's only 50p per km! This will go towards supporting the 1,000 children that stay at Nethercott House each year and you can create your own fundraising page on JustGiving here. If you have questions, please contact us

If you'd like to take part in this event in other ways (i.e. not cycling - we know it's not for everyone!), we will have other voluntary positions for you, so do get in touch.

About the charity

Founded in 1976 by children’s author Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare, our three farms welcome 3000 children and young people from underserved communities each year, helping them to step outside of their daily lives, learn new skills, grow in confidence and be braver, stronger and more resilient.
