Group and Partnership Services (London) Partners of the John Lewis Partnership have elected Friendship Works as their Charity of the Year for 2016-18. 

Partners will engage in fundraising, volunteering and awareness raising for Friendship Works, as well as highlighting the work they do through the wider organisation of Family Action. 

Friendship Works improve the life chances of disadvantaged children in London through long term mentoring. Their friendships provide one-to-one support and a trusted adult for children to talk to. Mentors take children out on three weekends per month to give them access to new opportunities and a chance to enjoy being a child. Mentoring builds children's resilience which contributes to better mental wellbeing and higher attainment in school, enabling them to reach their full potential.
