East Sussex WRAS was established as a voluntary group in 1996, but founder Trevor Weeks has been rescuing wildlife since 1985. The charity was set up to provide a front-line rescue & hospital service for people finding wildlife casualties as well as offering advice and information.

Story

East Sussex WRAS is an award winning community charity which helps people who find sick, injured and orphaned wildlife across East Sussex.

WRAS attends to a higher proportion of it casualties out on site than most other rescue organisation believing in starting the first aid and care as soon as possible.

The charity has four emergency ambulances which generally last 4-5 years before needing to be replaced. So every approximately every 18 months one of then needs replacing. Our oldest ambulance is now 10 years old, and needs replacing. We need £15,000 to purchase a replacement ambulance and equipment.
