Story
15th November is European Music Therapy Day!
The theme for 2017 is ‘Hearing your voice’.
Music therapy helps people to connect through music and make steps towards greater wellbeing.
Coda provides music therapy for a wide range of client groups, including children with learning disabilities, autism or behavioural disorders, adults with depression or trauma and anxiety, and older adults with Parkinson’s or Dementia.
Last year, we ran a short but very successful ‘Black Friday’ campaign to support our bursary scheme. This year, we are doing the same in support of our Music Therapy.
The campaign will run from Music Therapy Day (November 15th ) to Black Friday, (November 24th) and will specifically subsidise the cost of Music Therapy sessions for those in need of our services who are in financial difficulty.
Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year, so as an antidote to the deals and discounts again this year, we are asking for your altruism by contributing £10 towards a music therapy session at Coda.
£10 won’t buy much on Black Friday, but your donation will help Coda to offer subsidised, affordable music therapy sessions to those in financial difficulty, making our services accessible to all who might benefit from them.
We hope we can harness some of the festive spirit this season in asking you to contribute to Coda Music Trust and, by doing so, your contribution will help Coda to enrich and change lives across Dorset, Hampshire and the New Forest.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
