Story
On the 23rd June 2014 Manchester Women's Aid and The Pankhurst Trust merged to form a single charity. United with one clear message that together we have a renewed energy and commitment to tackling gender inequality and the violence and injustice it fosters.
Manchester Women's Aid has over forty years' experience of delivering specialist domestic abuse services in the city of Manchester. Our service has grown from one of the first refuges in the country in 1974 run by a group of volunteers to an organisation supporting over 1000 women a year and their children.
The safety and well-being of our women and their children remains our up most priority as it was in the 1970's and your donations will help us to provide many things for our service users including: food vouchers and toiletries for women when they move into refuge; bus passes for women to attend appointments and groups; resources for fun group activities and trips and outings for our children. https://twitter.com/MancWomensAid
