This June, every member of staff at every City of Edinburgh Council school is DARED to Do A Run Every Day to raise money for Circle. Circle support vulnerable children and families, across Edinburgh.

Every employee in all City of Edinburgh schools is DARED: Do A Run Each Day. There are two tiers to the challenge; Gold and Platinum. The Gold level is equivalent to 1 mile or 10 minutes a day. The Platinum level is 5 km or 30 minutes a day. This is a substantial challenge both mentally and physically. As such, we are raising money for charity. We are asking you all to dig deep and support your colleagues and city.
The charity chosen for DARED 2018 is Circle. Circle’s aim is to support the most disadvantaged children and families across Edinburgh to improve their lives, promote their healthy development and reach their potential. Follow the link to see some of their amazing work: www.circle.scot
The challenge embodies the City of Edinburgh Council’s vision and values. First of all, it empowers employees on local issues. Secondly, the challenge promotes a low carbon city. Finally, it is an opportunity for citizens to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
