Story

JoinDerek Hales, Mike Flanagan and a host of other Charlton legends to walk the 9 miles from Charlton’s training ground in New Eltham to the Valley beforeCharlton’s home game against Southend United in aid of the Charlton Upbeats.

Thefunds raised ensure that the The Upbeats programme can continue to run, givingfurther opportunities to these talented Down's Syndrome footballers. The programmerelies solely on individuals donors and sponsors.

£37,000 was sensationally raised last year to fund the project, which relies solelyonindividual donations. CACT are aiming to reach this figure again in 2017.

Starting at Charlton’s Sparrows Lane training ground at 9am, walkers will receivebreakfast pastries, teas/coffees and t-shirts before setting off and trekkingthrough Eltham, Shooters Hill, Greenwich and Charlton to The Valley.

Thenational Down's Syndrome champions will then take on Albion in the Community's Down's syndrome team before Charlton Athletic take on Southend United.
