Story
Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity for homeless young people. Together with our partners we provide housing and support for over 9,000 young people, aged 16-25, every year, helping them into work and a home of their own.
Young people sleep rough every night - in parks, stairwells, under bridges and worse. But there are thousands more you don't see - spending the night on buses, on sofas or in the homes of strangers. They're escaping abuse, violence, gangs and fear. Many are homeless because they can't live with their family, or they have no family. More than 150,000 young people ask for help with homelessness every year.
Your support through The Virgin Sport London Marathon will help Centrepoint give homeless young people a future.
What your money could do
£25 – Could help a homeless young person to face the future again through a session with a professional therapist.
£50 - Could help fund a month of travel for a homeless young person, either to get them to the course they are desperate to complete, to a new apprenticeship, or to work before that first vital pay-cheque.
£100 – Can set a young person up with the essentials they need to help them become independent such as a kettle, saucepans, and bed linen; and the basics they need from day to day like a toothbrush, soap and their own clean towel.
