Story

Our existing building has served us well for over 26 years, however we feel that now is the right time to modernise and expand in line with the many changes that have occurred within palliative care and the increasing local population

Architects have worked hard to fulfil our challenging brief and have produced plans for an extension that is both innovative, creative and functional and will seamlessly connect with the present  hospice

The new ground floor will provide ten en-suite in-patient rooms with their own outside space, an open plan reception/seating area, family areas, a therapy room and a quiet room together with offices and a staff room.  The Day Centre will be enlarged and incorporate a modern treatment area for day procedures and various therapies

The  existing six bedded in-patient unit will be used for longer stay patients whose life expectancy is likely to be weeks to a few months

We hope to raise £1million of the £6million appeal via this  campaign
