Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals (BSUH) is an acute teaching hospital working across two main sites: the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. 

The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital (The Alex) is located within the grounds of the Royal Sussex County Hospital. It provides outpatient services, inpatient facilities, intensive care  and a 24-hour emergency care service for children referred by GPs and other specialists. 

Donations to The Alex may be directed to a particular ward or department, such as:  

- Children's Accident & Emergency

- Children's oncology services (cancer services) 

- Operating theatres

- Padiatric diabetic services

- Baby emergency transport services
