Story
Since launching our partnership in 2017, the Force India team, partners and F1 fans have rallied together with the ambition to raise £250,000 by 2020 to support people affected by breast cancer. In the first year alone, we raised an incredible £116,000 from myriad fundraising activity across the British and US Grand Prix, including water bottle donations in collaboration with BWT, raffles, auctions, stock donations to the Breast Cancer Care charity shops and much more.
Alongside fundraising, the Force India cars will don the Breast Cancer Care logo at five Grand Prix across each season, as well as the names of some inspirational men and women who have been personally affected by breast cancer. By sharing these unique stories across the globe, we want to help raise awareness of the diversity of those affected by breast cancer and help people to find the support and information they need, from the moment they need it.
Our second year of partnership got off to a fantastic start at the 2018 British Grand Prix where we raised over £36,000 from just 5 days of fundraising! With staff and volunteers from BWT, Force India and Breast Cancer Care offering their time to help fundraise, and the Polar bar staff team at Silverstone Woodlands showing their support too, it was a real team effort.
On Race Day at the Force India Partner Party, we welcomed Jackie Scully, a Breast Cancer Care supporter and volunteer, to the stage to share her own experience of breast cancer. It was incredibly moving hearing Jackie talk and we felt privileged to know that through our partnership with Breast cancer Care, we are helping to support others like Jackie who have been affected by breast cancer.
Now half way through our partnership with Breast Cancer Care, we have surpassed our £125,00 half way target and are already busy planning our next fundraising activity together to get that step closer to our £250,000 milestone.
