This appeal supports our essential welfare work; most importantly, to change the behaviour, through education, of people who do not look after their horses properly. 

As you read this there are horses in distress that need our help. That is why we are launching our Helping Horses appeal.

Every pound counts, with your help we can do so much more.

We have over 200 Welfare Officers throughout the UK dealing with thousands of horses in need. Our Welfare Officers kindly donate their time, however it costs us every day to support our amazing volunteers with their training and expenses.

Each training day alone costs £400.

Our work extends to promoting responsible breeding, lobbying for horses’ rights, and running ‘Friends at the End’ – a BHS initiative to ensure no horse owner has to face the loss of their equine alone.
