Story
We want to reach more children who are disadvantaged as a consequence of ill health, domestic violence, homelessness, abuse, parental imprisonment or other form of crisis.
We support these children by creating Bright Spaces in domestic violence refuges, child protection interview suites in police stations, courts, hospitals, hospices and prison visiting areas; providing them with a safe place to play, learn, have fun, heal from trauma and build positive relationships.
We are fundraising both to sustain our existing Bright Spaces, of which have 55, and to open new Bright Spaces in new locations.
Our Bright Spaces are created in partnership with other agencies and charities which deliver front line services for vulnerable children; our partners include the Metropolitan Police, Refuge, HM Prison Service and Refugee Action. In our 2017 Bright Space Partner Survey 100% of our partners stated that their Bright Space had an impact on children and families, with 93% stating a 'major impact'.
Please support our fundraising campaign in 2018 and help us make a difference.
