The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileBruce Turner was a well known and respected Uro-Oncology Nurse Consultant at the Homerton Hospital (London) and was the British Association of Urological Nurses (BAUN) Education lead for many years, he sadly died in 2016 after being given a terminal diagnosis of cancer.
Bruce was determined to continue his mission to educate and impassion Urological nurses and left instructions that a legacy should continue in his name.
The Inaugural Bruce Turner Award was awarded in November 2017 and delivered an annual prize that provides a fully funded place to the BAUN annual conference and appointment of an experienced practitioner who acts as a ‘buddy’ to support and mentor over a 12 month period.
To continue this legacy BAUN would like to embed an annual event to raise funds for this important mission.
