Story
The Barnes Turkey Run was founded by local resident Ross Nottingham and is so called because runners are encouraged to dress up as turkeys! This year the event was organised by Chris Peskett and the Barnes Runners, resulting in its biggest turnout ever with over 60 runners taking part.
Many thanks to everyone who ran, donated and helped organise this wonderful fun occasion. We are most grateful to the Coach and Horses in Barnes who provided the race HQ and offered all the runners a well deserved pint after the event and a delicious turkey bap. Thanks also to the other event sponsors who donated prizes, including The Ginger Pig who provided a turkey, Up and Running in East Sheen, The Physio on the River and Buxton for supplying the water.
