Story
With tragic deaths in the centre of Braintree in recent months due to cardiac arrest, people calling 999 to help the victims were told that there were no publicly accessible defibrillators, so would have to wait for the ambulance to arrive.
Whilst places such as the Town Hall and the Police Station do have these, they are not open 24 hours. Working with local businesses and community facilities, we will provide these life saving boxes externally so that they will always be available.
A box needs to be accessible within a minute of where a victim falls to prevent life-changing damage or death, which can occur in as little as three minutes so you will appreciate that many of these are needed.
Perhaps you could join forces with colleagues at work to raise money for one and then host it on your premises? Some companies may also match fund. Please get in touch and we will set up your own campaign. Suggested target is £2000 with any surplus funds going to other locations in the town.
So whether in the town centre or on an industrial estate, we want to hear from you!
