Story

Dementia devastates lives. By 2021, it’s predicted that one million people will have the condition. Now more than ever, we must all come together and unite against dementia.

If you have a place in the 2018 Great North Run, the most important decision you'll make is who to run for. Join Alzheimer's Society and turn your half marathon place into care, research and a cure for people with dementia. Your place really can make all the difference.

We'll be here to support you every step of the way with:

■ training advice from professional coaches

■ a free running top to wear on race day

■ fundraising know-how

■ the loudest cheers on race day

Once you've set up your JustGiving page, complete our online form at alzheimers.org.uk/run to order your free running top and fundraising pack.

Contact the Running Events Team on 0330 333 0804 or email events@alzheimers.org.uk if you have any questions at all.

We hope to welcome you to our team soon!
