Story
8 December is Elf Day, when people across the nation unleash their inner elves to support people affected by dementia.
With someone developing it every three minutes, dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales. It doesn’t discriminate, it has a huge impact on families everywhere, and currently there’s no cure. In short, it’s a big challenge – the biggest health challenge we face today. Which is where the little (and not-so-little) helpers come in.
Elf Day is all about raising money to support people with dementia and their families. As the UK’s leading dementia charity, Alzheimer’s Society is dedicated to providing information and support, improving care and funding research to find a cure. So get ready to unleash your inner elf and unite with us to beat dementia on 8 December.
