Story

“If only they’d known” is a terrible realisation when a child is dying of rabies.

Invariably fatal but completely preventable, by the time a child reaches this final stage, multiple opportunities to save her life have been missed. The simplest was making sure she knew how to avoid a dog bite and what to do if bitten.

“Want a Friend, Be a Friend” is a 14-page booklet chock full of fun activities that help children learn how to behave safely around dogs.

If we raise the money for the printing, our friends at Onderstepoort Vet Institute will distribute them free of charge to children in communities in rural South Africa. This is a fantastic opportunity because it means that distribution of these booklets of life-saving information is free.

Can you help us meet the price of the printing?

One booklet costs $1.25 or £0.97.

Our target is 1000 booklets.
