The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileAdam's Camp, originally an American initiative, was successfully introduced into Northern Ireland in Summer 2016, providing a therapy camp for 10 children in the beautiful setting of Corrymeela, near Ballycastle. The campers, all of whom have ASD, worked with a team of 5 professionals, for 5 days of intensive, mixed therapies whist their parents received support, advice and respite. Siblings were entertained to a great range of activities and adventures every day.
The 2016 programme was extremely successful, and the benefits to the children and their families were evident and well-documented. It has therefore been decided to run an even larger programme in 2017, to enable twice as many families to benefit from this transformational opportunity.
Each family contributes to the cost of camp, but the remaining funds are raised by the Board of Trustees, their supporters and kind donors. Thank you so much for helping us to provide this amazing experience for a second year running.
