1625 Independent People, a Bristol-based charity, has been supporting homeless 16-25 year olds for over 33 years. We work with over 2,500 young people in the South West every year. We help them to reboot their lives through temporary housing, counselling, independent living skills, confidence building, education, training, finding jobs and fun.

On Thursday 24 November, Rivergate in Temple Quay will become our home for the night. Around 200 people will bed down for the night, with just a sleeping bag and protective sheet on the ground.

This is not about pretending to be homeless! It’s about raising awareness about the issues our young people are facing.
