Our Zoe's Place Christmas Wish is for all children to enjoy the best quality of life.
Can you help us reach our target this Christmas and support families like Otis'?
From our Hospice to your Home, thank you for making every childhood count.
Otis was born at 25 weeks. On day 4 he suffered a brain bleed and was unlikely to survive. After constant hospital visits, the family got the news he would live with complex epilepsy along with a cerebral palsy diagnosis. Otis, with his cheeky smile, took this in his stride, but as a family 6 they were beginning to struggle.
Life was reactive, questioning if there was a hospital nearby when planning to leave the house. It was easier to cancel plans, being
“reclusive was a safer bet”.
Feeling scared to let go, Mum agreed to visit Zoe’s Place.
Otis’ first day meant Mum could go for a coffee with a friend. If an emergency happened, it would be dealt with –
“he was safe”.
She could spend quality time with her other boys, watch a football practice, sleep and recharge.
Mum wishes that Zoe’s Place can carry on supporting families like theirs for many years to come. Zoe’s Place have become family for the Browns, and whenever they feel down, they remind themselves –
“be more Otis”.
As a charity, now more than ever, we depend on the generosity of support from our community.
Please donate today and help us help more families. With you behind us, we can make the most of everyday.
From our Hospice to your Home,
Merry Christmas!
Thank you and wishing you a warm and wonderful festive season.
