Story
The Zambia Society Trust is a long standing main funder for APTERS. APTERS, which is based in Lusaka and is the only centre of its kind in Zambia, produces made to measure mobility aids for children with disabilities - chairs with tables, walking frames and standing supports - from waste paper and cardboard using a papier mache technique pioneered for use in Africa.
The aids tranform the lives of children who would not otherwise receive any such help. Each aid costs just £20 but few parents are able to contribute anything other than a token donation.
APTERS is facing a growing demand for its mobility aids but is in need of additional funding to enable it to increase production of its mobility aids.
With your help The Zambia Society Trust can help the increasing number of children in desparate need of a mobility aid.
Thank you.
