Story
The First Tee of Greater Baltimore is a character education program aimed at helping change the trajectory of Greater Baltimore youth. We deliver our Life Skills and Healthy Habits curriculum to youth at five different locations in Baltimore City: Clifton Park Golf Course, Forest Park Golf Course, Pine Ridge Golf Course, Mount Pleasant Golf Course and Carroll Park Golf Course.
Through the game of golf, we have been able to:
-Affect the lives of 800 youth from Baltimore City each year
-Instill our Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits curriculum to each student that participates in our program
-Provide scholarship opportunities and academic support through the game of golf
-Strengthen relationships within our community
-Provide opportunities for students to caddy at clubs in the Baltimore area
The Young Professionals Board is aligned with The First Tee of Greater Baltimore's mission of helping change the trajectory of Greater Baltimore youth through the game of golf. Through their involvement in the community and personal networks as Young Professionals in the Greater Baltimore area, they are focused on helping provide awareness and financial support to the First Tee of Greater Baltimore by hosting their own year-end campaign from November 1st to December 31st. Each member of our Board is asked to raise $250 each, amounting to a year end goal of $6,000. All proceeds raised go to The First Tee of Greater Baltimore and help strengthen their programming and continue to provide opportunities for the youth we serve.
