Visit the charity's profileBryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity has been building decent, affordable housing for over 30 years. This spring, we will start building our 300th home! Youth Playhouse Build is a fun and engaging way for youth who are normally unable to volunteer on our construction sites because of safety regulations to pick up a hammer and help raise funds to support our mission.
On Saturday, February 29, 2020, we aim to build ten playhouses that we'll donate to other nonprofits that serve youths in our community like Family Promise and Twin City Mission. Groups of youth will put together playhouse kits, shingle the roof and paint the playhouses for each one of these nonprofits.
Leading up to and after the Youth Playhouse Build, the youth are also helping raise money to sponsor a Habitat home in 2020. The Arkitex Studio Inc. in Bryan has offered to match the first $4,000 raised!
