The National Youth Advocacy Service support Children in Care across England and Wales. Often, children in the care system struggle to get their voices heard in momentous decisions made about their lives. Whether it is making sure that young people share similar experiences in childhood (like going to the beach, or taking up a hobby), supporting them to access the mental health support they need, or making sure care leavers aren't left to fend for themselves when Government support ends, NYAS are committed to listening to what children and young people want, and doing everything we can to empower them to have a voice.
Could you go the distance and cover 26.2 miles for children in care? Whether you're an avid runner looking to push your limits or lacing up your trainers for the first time in a while, our Your Marathon, Your Way challenge is perfect for runners of all abilities who want to support children in care across England & Wales. Turn your miles into:
Minutes on our helpline, giving children vital support in their time of need.
Memories and experiences, letting children experience days out with their dedicated volunteer.
Moments together, funding family sessions at one of our specialist contact centres.
You could do it all in one day, crossing the finish line on 3rd October alongside the runners of the London Marathon, or break it up into shorter runs, doing a little each day and building up your fitness until reach your goal.
