Story
If you're here to make a donation for your own or your young person's sessions, please make the donation anonymously. This will keep your and young person's name confidential. In the comments box, please put:
1. Your Counsellor's name and your initial, eg. SueAL
2. The date and time of your regular sessions, eg. Thursday 19th March, 6.30pm.
This will help our Admin team keep track of donations for sessions. Thank you.
If you're here to make a general donation, here is something more about Wellspring's work with young peopele:
A young person came age 16 feeling hopeless, suicidal and not able to trust anyone. After many sessions with a Wellspring Counsellor, they are now planning their future and managing their difficult days much better.
Another young person was struggling with anxiety about many things. After some sessions with a Wellspring CBT Wellbeing Practitioner working on a goal they agreed on together, they're now able to enjoy life again.
Each session costs £50 to provide and as Wellspring only asks for a minimum donation of £10, that leaves the charity with £40 to raise for each session.
Wellspring currently has no statutory or NHS funding and relies for funds on the donations, grants and fundraising events.
In 2020, Wellspring expects to provide around 1450 sessions for 11-25 year olds locally at a cost of around £72,500. Even if every session received a donation of £10, Wellspring has to fundraise £58,000 to subsidise these sessions.
75% of all adult mental health problems start before the age of 18, and getting help before things escalate is vital. Wellspring believes it is vital that we invest in the mental health and wellbeing of our Young People, and needs your help to keep doing what we do.
All donations will help support local Young People who are struggling.
Please help Wellspring subsidise this essential service for local young people and make a real difference to their lives.
