Story
Gloucestershire Young Carers is still committed to finding new and innovative ways to support young carers during the Corona crisis.
We believe that this current situation will have a huge impact on the lives of the young people we support as a charity particularly those in the most vulnerable families. Isolation is a key challenge at the best of times for many young carers and now, as self-isolation becomes more prevalent, we know many will struggle. In addition, many will experience the impact of loss of income in the family as companies begin to make difficult decisions regarding to staffing.
We would urge you, our loyal supporters, to continue to keep our charity in your thoughts. A small donation to our Young Carers Corona Crisis Appeal will go a long way towards helping us to continue our support both now and in the period after the pandemic has subsided.
Families across Gloucestershire will undoubtedly find it hard to get back on their feet after the crisis but now, more than ever, support from organisations such as ours is vital to young people caring for family members with illness, disability, long-term ill health or mental ill health. All of this and with the fear of a new health threat on their doorstep.
We would welcome your support. Please donate here or get in touch with any ideas on how you might be able to help the families we support virtually or otherwise.
