You Are Not Alone

Help us expand our revolutionary programme for young people, which teaches people skills to interrupt the spiralling effects of trauma and empowers them to build a future for themselves.

Body & Soul transforms the lives of people of all ages who have experienced early childhood trauma. Our You Are Not Alone programme has helped over 300 young people who have attempted suicide since we launched in 2016, and we are seeing the demand for this programme continue to increase. This funding will allow us to expand our programme to parents and family members of people of all ages who are suicidal.
YANA was the first programme in the UK to provide specialist emotional and practical support to suicidal young people aged 16-30, alongside Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, evidence-based to improve mental health, reduce impulsivity and self-harming behaviours. The evidence demonstrating DBTs effectiveness has since substantially grown, now considered the gold standard in suicide prevention (NASP, 2017). This is reflected internally, with 95% success in preventing members from presenting at crisis services within 6-months of graduating. Since Covid and transitioning online, these outcomes have improved further, with 100% success over the last 18-months.
As we move into the winter months in our post pandemic world, we face a mental health crisis unlike anything we've seen before. Help us get life-saving skills and a supportive community to as many young people as possible.
