Story
Over 30 Years of Excellence in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Education and Integrative Healthcare
As a non-profit organization, Yo San University relies on donations and grants to meet our annual financial goals. Fundraising events are organized every year to ensure that we may continue to offer high quality, low cost education to our students, as well as to provide easily accessible and affordable integrative TCM care to the community. This year, with the additional and unprecedented financial challenges inflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal is to raise $60,000 through this online campaign.
Established in 1989, Yo San University continues to be the premium center for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) education and healthcare in the U.S., offering a fully accredited professional Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and postgraduate specialty Doctorate degrees in Women's Health/Reproductive Medicine, and Healthy Aging/Health Cultivation.
For over 30 years, our on-campus Yo San University Blount Community Clinic has provided quality and low-cost acupuncture care and TCM services to the local community. In addition to the general Acupuncture clinic, we provide specialty care in Acupuncture Orthopedics, Addiction Recovery, Healthy Aging and Women's Health & Reproductive Medicine.
Through our clinical outreach programs offered in collaboration with our clinical externship partners, Yo San University brings the benefits of TCM and integrative care deeper into the community, especially the low income and underserved communities in the Los Angeles area. Since the year 2000, our clinical outreach programs have provided over 220,000 free or low-cost acupuncture treatments to the local community. Our current clinical partnerships include Being Alive Los Angeles, The LAC+USC Wellness Center in Boyle Heights, Venice Family Clinic, and Wise & Healthy Aging in Santa Monica.
We currently have successful graduates and alumni practicing nationwide in the U.S, as well as in over a dozen countries around the world.
Please help us with continuing to make a difference in nurturing the next generation of exceptional acupuncturists, and to provide low cost, affordable integrative healthcare to our local communities and beyond.
