Help for family from Gaza arriving in York
In collaboration with the University of York, we are helping to support a family arriving from Gaza - a couple with 5 children. The father will be doing a PhD at the University of York. He is a former student of the university and has come on the CARA refugee academic scheme. They had to flee Gaza and have lost their home and have been living in a camp.
We have helped to secure a house for the family in York and we are in the process of furnishing the house. They are in need of everything!
We are kindly asking if people would donate funds rather than items so that we can get the family set up quickly, and they are able to choose their own household items.
