Since 2005, York Cares has been bringing businesses, employee-volunteers, and communities together to create a better York. Over the past 20 years, we’ve seen incredible transformations. From planting wildflower meadows that boost biodiversity to helping children and young people discover their future potential, and tackling loneliness and social isolation by building connections between neighbours of all ages.

In 2025, as we celebrate two decades of impactful change, we’re aiming to raise £20,000 to help us continue this vital work. Every pound raised will go directly towards:

Improving York’s green spaces - supporting environmental projects that create thriving spaces for people and wildlife.

Raising aspirations - Giving young people opportunities to connect with employee-volunteers in the world of work, inspiring them to reach their full potential

Building connections – Tackling loneliness and social isolation through meaningful community activities, like our Social Clubs.

Together with our incredible network of employee-volunteers, member businesses, and community partners, we’ve achieved so much. But there’s still more to do, and we need your help to make it happen.
