Story
2020 is Florence Nightingale's bicentennial year, designated by the World Health Organisation as the first ever global Year of the Nurse and Midwife. Nurses and midwives make up the largest numbers of the NHS workforce. They are highly skilled, multi-faceted professionals from a host of backgrounds.
2020 is the time to reflect on these skills, the commitment and expert clinical care they bring, and the impact they make on the lives of so many. In conjunction with the Chief Nurse (Tracey Carter) at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, we will raise funds in 2020 which will be allocated to projects aligned with this*.
Raise is proud to be working with Tracey and proud to support the wonderful nurses and midwives working across our three hospitals.
* NB any funds remaining at the end of the year will be carried forward to Raise general funds and spent in 2021.
