The largest Inclusive Sports Program in Bedfordshire

WHAT IS “YES WE CAN”?

It’s an Accessible, Affordable and Sustainable program designed to deliver sporting opportunities to those with a disability in South West Bedfordshire and the surrounding area.

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

The program currently has five sports all delivered by dedicated partner organisations, Football Leighton Park Rangers , Hockey Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club, Sailing MK Sailability, Swimming Otters Disability Swimming Club and Tennis Linslade Tennis Club. There is also a relatively new Outreach venture which offers sports sessions at other disability groups sessions with a view to engaging even more disabled individuals in sporting activity.

SO WHAT DOES ROTARY DO?

Rotary provides the overall umbrella and sense of belonging, pulling together delivery partners, participants, sports, venues and coaches. It also works to generate finance and deliver public relations all of which helps build the centre of excellence model that the program seek to achieve.

CAN I HELP?

The simple answer is yes of course you can, whether it’s in a specific sport or the program as a whole there are always opportunities to assist. Just by supporting the various fundraising efforts you will be helping to provide sport for those who perhaps need it the most and of course if you would like to be more involved there are opportunities for that as well
